A Climate Change Emergency is declared in Cornwall

On the 22nd January 2019 Cornwall Councillors declared a climate change emergency. The Cornwall New Energy team were invited to attend an outreach and engagement workshop to establish how Cornwall can sufficiently reduce carbon emissions through energy efficiency, low-carbon fuels and investment in renewable energy within a timescale which is consistent with an ambition to restrain Global Warming to 1.5°C.

The ‘energy’ workshop brought together landowners, heavy energy consumers and experts from across low carbon heat, power and transport, with an aim of exploring how to deliver the vision of a Zero Carbon Cornwall by 2030.
